DESCRIPTION AND METHODOLOGIES

The SIMHE scholarship is 10 000 euros per year. The scholarship is given to a maximum of two new students each year and may be used, for example, to cover study materials and living costs.

SIMHE scholarship may be provided to those who:

- Have a residence permit on grounds of asylum (refugee status)
- Have a residence permit on grounds of subsidiary protection
- Have arrived in Finland under the refugee quota

Those who have completed primary education in Finland cannot obtain the SIMHE scholarship.
Also, only those who have a study place at the University of Helsinki may obtain a SIMHE scholarship.
The scholarship is granted for two years in master’s studies, and for three years in bachelor’s studies.
