DESCRIPTION AND METHODOLOGIES
Have you ever spent a long time immersed in a foreign culture? Then you know that it is most difficult at the start. That is why it is so important to help newcomers with advice and practical support.
The Buddy programme is intended to make it easier for prospective students with refugee status to take part in everyday life at the University of Rostock. Rostock's students can support a student refugee as a Welcome Buddy to help them find their way around the university.
Whether it is getting a student card, asking the right person to put together a timetable or finding your way around the campus and the city - the support of a Welcome Buddy can make a big difference.
As a Welcome Buddy, you will get a completely different view of your everyday life at university and gain intercultural experience and you are guaranteed to get to know new, interesting people too.
