DESCRIPTION AND METHODOLOGIES

The Universidade Lusófona hosts Syrian students within the context of the Global Platform for Syrian Students.

Refugee students can access, through activities set up for ERASMUS +, Portuguese language courses. Also, these students can be integrated into the Mobility / International groups and have access to: i) Welcoming Week; ii) Additional monitoring and guidance during the course; iii) Portuguese language courses for foreigners. Refugee students may also benefit from accommodation services (https://internacional.ulusofona.pt/alhost/) as well as health services (São João de Deus clinic's benefits for ULHT students).

RESULTS AND IMPACT

Within the context of the Global Platform for Syrian Students, the Universidade Lusófona has hosted:
2013/2014: 2 students (1 M and 1 F) - Master's Degree
2014/2015: 2 students (1 M and 1 F) - Master's Degree
2016/2017: 2 students (2 F) - Master's Degree
2017/2018: 3 students (3 F) - Master's Degree
2018/2019: 4 students (1 M and 3 F) - 2 Undergraduate + 2 Master's Degree
2019/2020: 3 students (1 M and 2 F) - 2 Undergraduate + 1 Master's Degree
