DESCRIPTION AND METHODOLOGIES

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities offers a variety of opportunities to learn Portuguese (summer courses; annual courses; intensive courses). It also provides a Foundation Year Programme in Portuguese Language (FYP-PL) for undergraduate applicants with intensive training and customised follow-up to prepare students to gain the necessary skills and proficiency in the Portuguese language to take UC degree programmes. The Foundation Year Programme in Portuguese Language (FYP-PL) is aimed at students who have completed the secondary education and passed the national higher education entrance exams recognized by UC but who do not have the required level of Portuguese language proficiency (B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) to enter UC undergraduate degree programmes.
