DESCRIPTION AND METHODOLOGIES

Bridges4Refugees is a preparatory course for refugees who want to study at the TU Braunschweig but do not yet have a sufficient knowledge of the German language. The focus of the programme is on learning the German language.

Together with other international students, you will take part in the Intensive Courses German as a Foreign Language offered by the Language Centre and prepare for the German Language Examination for University Admission (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang, DSH). Additionally, you can also attend your first lectures in mathematics. You will be assigned a German student as a tandem partner and get to know the TU Braunschweig and the German study system. You can enter the programme at any level from A1 to B2. If you have successfully completed the DSH at the end of the programme, you can study at the TU Braunschweig or any other German university.

In addition to the above mentioned activities the Language Centre offers a Theatre-German Workshop for the Bridges4Refugees participants, courses in English (English Elementary), stress management workshop, culture and language tandems, intercultural meetings and events (e.g. language café, lectures, Bridges4Refugees summer festival).
