DESCRIPTION AND METHODOLOGIES

Students at Södertörn University have the chance to make a difference to the lives of young refugees as part of the Mitt Livs Val group mentorship programme

Activities
As a mentor, students will be a role model for young people aged 16 to 20 as part of a programme called Mitt Livs Val (in English, Choice of a Lifetime). Student mentors can help provide them with inspiration and motivation for continuing to study. The programme’s aim is to increase these young people’s self-confidence and motivation for studying and language learning.

RESULTS AND IMPACT

In the spring of 2019, Mitt Livs Val and Södertörn University organised two group mentorship programmes. Each programme included five meetings and was held in the evenings at Södertörn University. No experience was necessary, and students received mentorship och diversity training.
