Description of Dissemination Event:
The Intercultural Municipal Mediators project is financed under POISE and the High Commissioner for Migration (ACM).It assumes itself as an Intermediate body, determining in its mission, teamwork with other competent entities, with a view to fight all forms of discrimination. depending on race, nationality, ethnic origin or religion.
We decided to contact MMI (Intercultural Municipal Mediators), because we were aware of the role they played in mediating the relationship between some refugees students and the University of Coimbra. Due to the pandemic situation, the meeting was held by video conference. Initially, MMI made a presentation of the work they have been developing, mostly with minorities. We made the presentation of the project Together, talking about the results we expected to achieve. They were very pleased with the project objectives, expressing their interest in a future collaboration.
