DESCRIPTION AND METHODOLOGIES

The Coimbra Group organised on 21-22 January 2019 a staff training workshop entitled "Recognition of Refugees’ Qualifications: looking for International consensus". The event was hosted by the University of Coimbra. The objectives of this workshop were to present and discuss the different approaches already in place towards the recognition of Refugees’ Qualifications and to learn mainly with those considered as best practices. Coimbra Group members and non-members gathered together with a number of professionals in the field of recognition and from higher education institutions implementing good practices to hear about what is currently being done in terms of recognition of qualifications in the absence of diplomas, new tools available, obstacles and possible solutions.
